Highlights of the Activity

In order to enhance the overall competence of all international students and cultivate their spirit of overcoming difficulties and unity, on November 26, School of International Education organized all international students and their paired partners to go to Anji, Huzhou, to carry out an outdoor skill-building activity themed "Youth Sets Sail, Together to the Future."

Warm-up Session

This activity kicked off with an interesting warm-up session. It mainly focused on three core elements of team building: collaboration, competition and team cohesion.

Team Formation

First, the students formed into several groups. In the process of team building, the team members pooled their wisdom and contributed ideas for the team. Through the coordination of the team leaders and discussions among the members, they collectively decided on their team names and slogans, ultimately forming four harmonious, united, and positive teams.

Game Session

After the teams were formed, the students successively tackled several projects, including "Drifting with the Current," "Drumming and Bouncing the Ball," "The Magic Brush," "Passionate Slogan," and "The Indestructible Forest." These projects mainly tested the coordination and rapport between team members. Unexpected failures just before completing the challenges became the best moments to test the students' psychological resilience. As time ticked away and more mistakes occurred, the tension among team members grew. Under such high-pressure conditions, everyone had to regulate their breathing and mindset, quickly bouncing back from each failure until they eventually succeeded. Failure is not terrible; only by striving can one win. The students promptly learned from each failure, laying the foundation for the next success and ultimately earning their badges of victory.

In the afternoon, international students came to Yucun in Anji and followed the village road walked by General Secretary Xi Jinping to personally experience the vivid practice of General Secretary Xi Jinping's "Two Mountains" theory in Yucun, enhancing their comprehensive understanding of the beautiful China. Yucun Village, located on the west side of Tianhuangping Town People's Government in Anji County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, with seven mountains, is situated at the northern foot of Tianmu Mountain and is a nationally demonstration village. Under the guidance of this important concept, the people of Yucun firmly seized the opportunity, actively carried out ecological restoration work, and opened the new door to economic development with green mountains and clear waters, embarking on the path of green and harmonious rural revitalization.
